ABOUT RANJANA
A journey shaped by music, the stage and the studio.
"Music has been a part of my life since I was four."
Born and raised in Mumbai, I began my musical journey with Carnatic music and later trained in Hindustani music, while also pursuing Western music and piano through Trinity College London. Over the years, music has taken me from competitions and stages to television, film, recording studios and live performances across India and internationally - including being a Top 4 contestant on The X Factor. My journey has also taken me into playback singing, with credits including My Friend Pinto, along with recordings and projects across Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi and English.
Today, my work revolves around three worlds: Playback Singing, Live Performance and Original Music. As a live artist, I perform for corporate events, weddings, concerts, celebrations and private occasions. As a playback and studio vocalist, I bring versatility and musical expression to recordings and projects.
And as a music creator, I create original music, custom jingles and music for brands, working with creative teams to turn ideas into sound. For me, music isn't just about singing a song - it's about understanding the moment, finding the right sound and creating something people remember.

From heartfelt ballads to energetic tracks, I bring stories to life through my voice. As a playback singer, I have had the privilege of lending my voice to films, independent projects and studio recordings across multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi and English. My training in Carnatic, Hindustani and Western music allows me to adapt to diverse musical styles and bring every composition to life.
